I've been waiting for weeks for "permission" for normal access...but I'm not approved...or maybe I just can't figure it out?
On May 9, 2011, we purchased a 2011 XJL and a 2011 XKR. We purchased the cars in Mobile, AL...1.5 hrs from where we live in Perdido Key, FL (western panhandle).
The cars are beautiful...no problem with the engines...but the Navigation system is impossible. Constant communication with Jaguar has resulted in nothing. The Dealer doesn't have a clue and Jaguar apparently doesn't either?
A few weeks ago my XKR screen shut down...nothing. A few hours later after sitting in the garage...it started up normally and I have not had the same problem since.

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.
One other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.

Trying to figure out how to use this site...suppose to go to "My Car"...can't find it?
On May 9th of this year purchased 2, 2011 Jaguars in Mobile, AL (we live in Pensacola, FL). XJL in Polaris white, XKR in black. Both cars were not fully detailed...had to be picked up and fully detailed out.
Took the XJL on a long road trip to Orlando, FL...the Navigation system is totally dysfunctional....makes no sense. Had us getting off at every highway exit...until we finally shut it off! No way to easily store addresses...can't get a previous address...voice commands don't work..just plain stupid! We have had many cars...Mercedes, BMW, could not believe they would install a Nav system on these beautiful cars that can only **** you off!
XKR had a full screen shut down a few weeks ago...tire pressure light false signals...engine service light after less than 1,000 miles etc. Dealer does not know what to do.
No answers from Jaguar National Service...just automated e-mail responses. Will not return voice messages. Will not acknowledge Nav system issues...even with the Dealer personnel telling them they can't get it to work?
I will probably have to take them legal at the end of this month.

I'm not doing very well figuring out this website...but let me add the car details that seem very important in the signature block?

Major complaint...totally dysfunctional Nav system. Compared to my BMW, M6, and Mercedes CL55, AMG, which are intuitive, this system just
doesn't work? No one at the Dealer can get them to work...because they have major software issues. We are better off buying a Tom-Tom, Garmin etc and sticking to the window! Anyone can use these Nav systems!
