New Member Intro
Good day! My name is Christian, and I just purchased my first Jaguar. I got my hands on a 2004 XJ8 with a little over 67000 miles on it. In the 6 hours and roughly 50 miles I've had it, I can say I'm in love. Love the style, love the drive, the sound, the smell, everything.
I will say, on the drive home we noticed a couple of fairly significant problems with the car that somehow did not surface prior to the sale. I still love the car, but I need information on these problems, hence why I'm here. It has been my experience that these types of forums are great sources of information, and I don't expect this one to be any different.
A little about me. I'm 29, married, with 2 young kids.
Looking forward to being a member here.
Respectfully,
Christian

Welcome to the forums! Sorry you missed those problems upon inspection.
You'll find a huge amount of help, and nice chaps here... I know I have found
them very helpful anyway.
the "X350" thread will probably be home base for you, I suggest posting any technical questions right on that sub-heading, after you've checked the "search" tab for previous threads.
Enjoy the Jag! Those 4.2s are great sounding, and incredibly efficient. Very reliable too.
Post pics as soon as you can! I can't wait to see.
Cheers
Ian

Lets hope these "fairly significant problems" turn out to be less so. I also have an X350 as it is called, and have had to fix one or two things, but have never been let down at the roadside by the car. There are a number of things on the car that seem to suffer what I call "unfair wear and tear", but on the whole I am very positive about my car and intend to keep it for a fair time yet
