New Member Intro - JimL with 2020 E-Pace
Hi - just joined the Jaguar forums as I very recently bought a Jaguar E-Pace. A Jag was on my bucket-list and I've graduated from a RR Evogue to the E-Pace which I am enjoying immensely as is my wife.
One is still learning about all the features its coming with. I am recently (semi) retired and look forward to getting out and about more regularly now that I have the time. I worked in the IT industry for 45 odd years and spent the last half of that at Gartner (ironically has monika IT on the NT stock exchange); helping clients globally involved in large package evaluations and implementations (e.g. such as ERP come finance systems) as well as outsourcing of infrastructure and application services.
Ironically, I found this forum when searching for acronyms CCR and KSK describing the features of the car I have. This was driven by complex re-insurance process grilling me for an hour on the various configurable options modern cars have for which I had very little idea what they were talking about!
Am looking forward to engaging further as driving demands and suspect it may take awhile to meet the entry target of minimum post counts.

Thanks for the friendly welcome. Certainly there's been a lot of changes in the IT industry and I think your analogy on rate of change in mobile phones is a good one. We are certainly seeing a lot of change in the digital technology in our Jaguar and Range Rover vehicles which is to me, making driving safer!
