Hello everyone, I am introducing myself here as a new owner of my first Jag, 2011 Supercharged XJL. I was looking for a replacement for my Mini Clubman and found the Jag on consignment at my local wholesale car lot. 124000km well maintained and clean, with new tires and seemingly up to date maintenance. Ive since replaced rear break pads and am now in the process of replacing a Bowers and Wilkins door speaker and looking into my freezing door handle. Seems to be a slight drive shaft vibration I'll have to look into as well. Cam chains seem loud but consistent similar an old phone ringing when I use a screw driver against the valve cover to listen to the cam tensioners. I intend to use this car as a daily driver. Im in Nova Scotia Canada and am a former Air Force mechanic working on the C130 and CC137 not that has anything to do with cars but the fundamentals are similar. Love the fact the car is aluminium.

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Ftype Jaguar!
Actually being an airplane mechanic might be advantage. As you say, most of the mechanical principles are the same. Only smaller and/or in different places.
