Hello Everyone!
I've been a long time visitor but never joined until I bought a Jag, and as of 9am today I'm the proud owner of a 1996 Jaguar XJ6 VDP . The car has 175K km and the frame and body is pretty well in mint condition. I have a few little "trouble spots" mainly cosmetic issues with the interior. The leather on the rear seats have dried up considerable and as such I can see the cracking beginning to form. I've read that on one of the threads that someone recommended leather magic as a means of avoiding reupholstering the seats. My question is has anyone used this product on extremely dry, cracking (no tears) seats? Also could anyone recommend some product that would "rehydrate" the leather seats?
The exterior of the car, mainly just the roof, top of both the bonnet and boot have faded somewhat, I'm toying with the idea of simply repainting the whole car but perhaps there might be some success stories with some auto products
at restoring their faded paint
Any help is much appreciated and I'm very happy to have joined the envious ranks of being a Jaguar owner

Thank you all very much for the warm reception
I'm just waiting on my insurance company to send me my temporary slip so I can get my plates and FINALLY take this cat on a nice 3hr ride through the countryside. I only drove it in the city and I was surprised at the way the car almost commands the road, even though it's a 1996 it turns heads everywhere! I'm very happy to have the joined the prestigious ranks which you all undoubtedly enjoy
I'll update when the insurance and plates arrive and I'll let you know just how much I love my new XJ6 VDP.
