Hello from Maine.
I've been with Jaguars and Land Rovers for about 30 years. All my cars are British, yes I'm a glutton for punishment. I started with various Land Rovers and Range Rovers, then a 91 XJ-40, on to a 2001 XJ8, and now a 2006 Super 8. I learned Jaguars on the XJ40, restoring it bumper to bumper, and enjoyed every minute of ownership. The XJ8 was OK, but was missing something the old Jag had. I spent many-a-year on "Jag Lovers" But "Jaguar Forums being tailored more to the X350, this is my go-to site.
After reading the repair manual for the Super8, my head blew off! This car as I found out is an engineering wonder, but also deflated my confidence. The PDF repair manual doesn't seem as "user friendly as the old JTIS. The posts on this site have relieved alot of the terror with repairing it. This is the best Jag I've owned to date. I absolutely LOVE driving this car. It's like the feeling I had the first time I drove a Jaguar.
Now the fun part, keeping it on the road.
Thanks for having me.
