Hello all,
quick intro I'm James, live in SW London and after man years of 911's, Bentley GT, Lambo Gallardo and lots of Ferrari's - I've seen the light and bought my first Jag! I hope that first line didn't make me sound like an *rse - I've been car obsessed since a lad and now have a similarity obsessed son

Most recently owned a wide body 993 Porsche and loved the car but found that as its value climbed, I got scared of the value diving and this meant the car rarely left the garage - you only get one life after all...

The real issue is that I am not wealthy enough to be able to park a £100k car on the street and I love cars too much to park it anywhere and forget about it, meaning that the mythical 'drive with wife to a nice restaurant' are not possible without full car park analysis/parking standard of locals before hand - pretty tiresome really.

I found my car on Ebay and it was only 1.5 miles away! I read that type of thing on forums and usually think 'how come all the cars I like the look of are 450 miles away' but it does happen! Only 33k miles and 5 services at Jaguar MD. I am still getting over what a monster the car is - to me it feels ballistic and easily a match for the Bentley and Ferrari 575 - I know superchargers can flatter a cars statistics from the drivers seat but this thing feels like a missile. I had no idea, really. what have I been missing out on all this time?

The pictures used to sell the car were taken on a cloudy day and in a public car park which didn't really encourage further viewing but as it was so local to me, I nipped down. Other than kerbed alloys and a car park 'ding' the car is immaculate. I treated the seats and steering wheel to some leather conditioner to remove some shine and that was it.

Have come to the conclusion that Jaguar down played the performance of the XKR to avoid missing out on DB9 sales - just my little theory as there is no way this car takes 4.6 seconds to reach 60 The mid range between 50 and 80 - you need to be very careful shall we say... For the money, I can't think of what I could replace it, so maybe this is a keeper. Love the lines of it and makes me smile just seeing it on the drive and knowing it cost less than a eurobox.

Thanks for reading this far.

Nice looking car

Jaguar seemed to be a bit conservative with the figures for this car. Take a look here for a fully instrumented test:

https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...trumented-test

And the X150 part of the forum is actually here:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk-xkr-x150-33/

C&P error I assume
