Hello everyone, I have not yet purchased my Jag as of yet. I am in the looking and research process. I am looking to buy an 04 to 05 x type so any info on what to look for would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum Mike,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of the X-Type tech section is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Good luck in your search for the right X-Type. Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Hello & welcome...X type is a nice all rounder , compact , sport saloon ( sedan ) . Its not perfect , but any problems are usually diagnosed quickly & wont cost an arm & leg to fix. Bonus is 4x4 down side is cramped rear seats . Just be aware that some of the bigger alloy wheels fitted , can crack if you kerb, pot hole them . Nice to see you here.
