Hi guys and gals

New member here from NC, just picked up a 2001 S-type with a 3.0 not thesport package but VIN number decodes to high line package. Not sure what themajor differences are between the base and highline edition but I think it agreat car. I probably paid too much for the vehicle from a *********** but themotor and tranny only had 55,000 original miles on it. Straight body 2 ownervehicle that needs a bunch of TLC and a new suspension.

As she is my toy and not my daily driver as of yet I have put her up on jackstands already. Only owned her for 4 days and she already has the entire frontsuspension removed, lol. As I removed pieces so I realize how much more wasneeded to replace. Ball joints, wheel bearings, headlight adjuster, power seattracks, smaller odds and ends the list keeps getting longer. I will probablyend up throwing more than what I would like to have had into the car but het ifshe runs for another 55,000 miles I will be happy.

Anyways nice to be on this forum I have already posted a few threads beforecoming here to introduce myself. There is a wealth of information here, Iappreciate the detail that the members provide. Its good to know I am amongfriends.

Congratulations on the S-Type. I can see you're already finding your way around so no need for any links from me.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
