Hello,
I'm 19 years old and own a 1990 XJ40 British Racing Green. I love this car to death!! I have had it for two years now and have learned a lot about cars (I think at least..) as a result. I want nothing more than to keep my old classic running for a few more years. she is in pretty rough shape but still runs pretty more. I bought it for $500 when I was 17 years old. all the door handles were broken (obviously) and I had to climb in through a window to get to the wheel. I have been on jag forums many a time since I got this car but just now got around to making an account. every one on here is so friendly helpful and knowledgeable, and I am happy to finally be a part of the jag enthusiast community. I have a really annoying neighbor with 4 saabs that always has to give me S*** for owning a british car everytime im in the yard trying to fix something. But ya know what!? Im proud to own it and at least I dont have to worry about tying to keep 4 saabs running. geez.

Welcome to Jaguar Forums
Welcome Andrew ... and greetings from a fellow enthusiast in Australia.
Great to hear you enjoying the XJ40 and I encourage you to jump over to the XJ model specific section where there is plenty to read and absorb ... also, to visit the regional section shared by other members in your area ... and finally, add your car details to your signature as a permanent flag to enable other members to offer accurate advice ... from Main Menu, click <User CP> then <Edit Signature>.
All that remains is to dive into the forum ... and enjoy!
Best wishes,
Ken

Most people, if they're of any count at all, Love to share what they know with someone who needs information. That goes for these forums too.
Ignore your ROOD neighbor! Fact is, he's Jealous! You'll get way more satisfaction from fixing your Jaguar than he Ever will trying to keep all his Saabs running. When you succeed, you'll have a sorted out Jag! If he succeeds, he'll only have another Saab that needs work.
Welcome from ElinorB.
