Hi!
I have just purchased a 1997 XK8 convertible - imported from the US in 2005.
She has 72000 miles on the clock, engine changed on warranty at 50000 miles, never driven in winter conditions.
I plan on keeping her in good condition myself, and as I have come to understand, I WILL need help with that..
Why did I buy it? Me and the missus fell in love with this type of car last year, been looking for a good specimen with the right colours since.
Also, my newly built Super Seven kit-kar came off as way too sporty for me - fun, but not comfy for my ageing body. It's up for sale..
I have browsed this forum for some days now - I am really impressed by the spirit here, and all the information available :-)
Cheers!

The car has some electrical gremlins - the driver side window does not work going up, only down.- It does "click" when I press the up button, and I can pull the window up manually while holding the button (not if the button is not pressed), At the same time, the driver side lock actuator will fail.
Exercising the convertible top a few times brings the power back to the window motor and the lock - for a little while.
Any ideas? Battery is 2 years old and holds 12,62V charged.
