Hey everyone. I stubled across this forum a few days ago and after wondering through the different post I am impressed with the amount of knowledge on here. I am a new Jag owner and love it. It is a 2002 Jaguar 2.5 Sport-Black, in my opinion there is no sweeter looking Jag then a black one, but I have seen a few that have broadened my thoughts. Just thought I would drop a line and say great job and I am proud to be a member!

Welcome to the forum.

With that engine, I assume you have the "baby" Jag, the X-Type. There are thousands of these around in England, and they were very popular, but not popular enough, apparently, as they are no longer in production. I suppose everybody wants BMW 3s, or similar German cars. A new small Jaguar is in design by the new owners of Jaguar but will be a few years yet, I believe.

southernjag, welcome to the forum. I share your thoughts on a black Jag, but as you say there are some gorgeous other colors out there. When you can post a picture or two. Have a great time here and enjoy a great group of people.

Default Welcome

Welcome, southernjag!! I tend to like cars with colors more lively than black, but that's what makes the world go 'round and keeps the paint companies in business. You are right about the amount of knowledge here, and the cool part is that these folks are always willing to share it with the rest of us.

Enjoy your stay here, and your new ride!

Welcome Southern. Black is nice. Would drive me crazy trying to keep it clean but I'm sure you will do it.

Thanks for all the welcomes. Yes it is the "baby" jag/x-type, but all in the same I do love it and Jags are not exactally an easy find in this area. Black is a pain to keep clean, but when it is clean it does look sharp. I will get pics posted sooner or later. Thanks everyone again.
