New member from Ohio with an X-type
Hello! I just picked up a 03 X-type last Friday and figured I should join the associated Jag forum since I intend to keep this car around for a while. In standard forum etiquette and tradition I am making my info post in the new member area lol!
I'm a younger guy who owns a repair shop that was spawned from my hobby of cars, turns out I am good enough at fixing them that other people pay me for it. Most of my fleet is Toyota/Lexus with one German land missile in the mix, this is my first "British" car but I have always really enjoyed working on them. I don't know all that much about X-types since I've only dealt with two before and they were both under 40k miles and just needed some minor fixes, all the other Jags have been XKs and XJs of some type and I am well familiar with how quickly those can get out of control and expensive. I am hoping the X-type isn't as bad but I'm already off to a bad start with a rod knock so it can only surprise me from here by choosing NOT to break.
Anyway, I'm off to the X400 section to make the post detailing the car and it's particulars. I look forward to meeting and talking with everyone here and learning more about this car and the brand!

Welcome to the forums Striker223,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham

Thanks everyone!
Yeah my fleet is a little of everything, some are dailies others toys or tools. I have an extreme preference for larger V8s so this Jag is an experiment for me personally to see if I can live with a tiny engine lol!
Up to this point the only 6 I've ever owned was the old Jeep but that inline feels like an 8 down low. The Saturn doesn't count since it was a estate barn find that I just couldn't pass up since it's literally perfect.
