New Member (Old one back in the circuit)
I registered in 2011, sorry for the delay in the introduction......things can happen in life.
I possess a couple of MK IX's all under renovations. a very very serious issue is occurring with these cars and their associated Marks (VIII and VII) (phrase removed). One area of major concern is the Fuel Tank(s), after market new tanks are not available from stock suppliers. E type & similar era jags, because of their market size, have a ready available after market source from the usual suspects.
The flea in the ointment is the available market for aftermarket of these Early Sedans/Saloons, this market segment market is small and as a consequence, the suspects are not interested.
My goal is to seek out any European shop which could do fuel tank re fabrication.
In the UK there are a couple who potentially carry out the work. I want to broaden the options.
That's what Im upto now, besides my interest in classic aviation.
Hope this helps as my introduction

Welcome to the forum Peter,
Your post was automatically locked for moderation which is the reason for no replies. I've made two edits to be able to approve it. We are in an age where the abbreviation for Foxtrot Oscar is not interpreted as you intended and colonial connotations for English counties are no longer acceptable. I blame the Americans for this PC nonsense but perhaps it doesn't apply in Texas!
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/mark-v-x-420g-58/ to the Mark V - X 420G forum for help, advice and information. I'm surprised you have found two shops prepared to undertake fuel tank refurbishment considering the increasing rarity of the models. Members with the same models may know of other refurbishers or fabricators.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also use the US Southwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-southwest-37/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

Welcome. I wish you luck in getting more vendors/small manufacturers to provide parts for the MK-X.
There seems to be a fair bit of support for the smaller saloon cars, the MK-2 and S-series, but for the MK-X parts are indeed scarce.
Any idea how many are remaining in the UK...? It has been a decade, or more, since I have seen a MK-X on the road here in the San Francisco Bay area.
