Hello.
I've been using Jag-Lovers for years and now look for more chat to sustain my addiction. Some of you will "know" me. There's never too much information about Jags.
I have a S1 XJ6 I've owned for 25 years, with 3/SU's, T700 trans, brake and suspension "upgrades".
I lucked into a 1999 VDP supercharged a year and a half ago, with 40,000Km. What a great car for a family man, although some days I want the XJR suspension when driving by myself.
I wasn't looking a for an XJS, but when a nice 1989 coupe became available from a collector, I grabbed that too.
Perhaps the S1 XJ6 will be sold this summer as it needs paint and leather, so it's a question of spending big and keeping it, or letting it go. I always thought I'd be buried in it, but we'll see what happens.
I'm gathering the parts to do the timing chains and tensioners on the VDP. Folks think the tensioners on the SC engines last much longer than those with VVT, but I'm going to do them anyway so I can sleep at night.
The XJS will need attention to the fuel tank venting or EGR system as "oil canning" of the tank is suspected. I'll be switching to the newer single ign coil too, and a check of the dizzy function. Boy, those old Pirelli's are hard! The 235 size tires are not available from many suppliers, so may have to get 215's.
I'm looking forward to visiting this site more.
Thanks,
Rob

I'm in Niagara on the Lake, near The Falls.
Another fun thing I'm into is Chump Car Racing. Some of the Ontario Jag club have got an XJS V12 and a 1990 XJ40 all stripped out for this cheap racing. The others in the group do most of the work with me bringing good food to eat at break, and parts from some of the wrecks I have lying around.
I also operate Leatherique Canada wwwleatheriquecanada.com . If you look you will see most of the pictures are of Jaguars as that's my passion.
Cheers,
Rob

If you ever see a guy in your area with a maroon '65 Corvette coupe, say hi. That's (another) Mike, one of my Corvette buddies. We're in the Montreal area for now but expect to be moving to Perth in the next few months if everything works out.
Sounds like you're having fun with the racing!
