Default New Member from Pittsburgh

Although I have been browsing here a while, I haven't officially introduced myself.

I am a new Jaguar owner (first Jaguar of any kind) from Pittsburgh, PA. Proud, but somewhat anxious owner of a black X-Type 2006 VDP with Navigation.

I was unable to have my mechanic look at the vehicle before purchasing, which is leading to the anxiousness, but he checks it out maņana.

Love the car itself though.

Looking to upgrade lights (headlights, interior lights, side lights and plate lights), install back seat heaters, USB chargers in the back, and possibly a USB connection to the head unit to play music from device or drive. May add front dash trunk/boot release, rear view camera (output to navi screen), voice control module if I can find a reasonably priced one.

Probably won't do all of it, and if there are repairs to other parts of the car, even less.

BT works with phone, Navi works (2006 map though), no vibration while driving, interior in great condition.

This is a really great forum, and look forward to help where I can.

Welcome to the forum indi4ever,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA North East Region forum by following this link USA North East - ME NH VT MA RI CT NJ NY PA - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Default Go "Stillers"!

Welcome mate! As a fellow Pittsburger, from the Beaver Valley area, now living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I welcome you. I am relatively new to this forum having recently acquired my first Jaguar 2011 XKR 175. The primary modifications I am making are; currently undergoing a complete paint correction, and 22ple glass coating.

There are a few pictures of my Cat on this Facebook page as Brett is the guy doing the work. Should be done today, then into storage until the temperature gets above 50 degrees. It's -2 right now, so it may be a while. At least the obnoxious local Packer fans will be freezing their butts off this weekend in Green Bay.

Vacolorito. Good choice with 22pple. I put it on our minivan when we purchased it new two years ago. Just wanted the extra protection from the salt spray. Definitely works!

I still put on a coat of Meguiars ultimate wax in the fall though. The car beads all year round.

Thanks for the welcome.
