Thumbs up New member from pittsburgh!!!

So tomorrow, I officially become the owner of a used 2002 Jaguar Xtype, with the 2.5L Engine, and the baby blue exterior with silver leather interior. I CANT WAIT!! I drove it and loved it.

That's a picture of the dash, and if all of them are that size I won't post them on here, yet. I paid just under 6 grand for it, and I am going to have it paid off in 3 years, at the latest. After that, who knows? I am a fan beyond compare of the BR Green Tan leather combo, so that may be my next move, with Jaguar's consent of course. Also, I may buy a set of rims, 2__/40/R18s. Not sure though, they say PLAYER on the spokes...

Thanks very much Translator! I think I'll be able to do a sunset photo shoot with it, if the guy at the dealership's cool. I should have those posted to the site directly following the AHEM, pens win over NYR this evening at 7. In the meanwhile, CHicka Che!! Superstar Treatment again for ME!

Thanks for all the encouragement guys! I took delivery yesterday. Unfortunately, it was without the part that the dealership had promised to put on it, because they were O===3 s. So, I got the wheel bearing fixed, and I promise to have a photo shoot tomorrow morning (best lighting). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tyj9VMhE6oI video of the Top Gear guys reviewing Jaguar's new XJ and subsequently, Jag drivers... hilarious.

H2O- your pic's below. It'll all depend on the wheel pattern, as I see they're probably 5 bolts with a cap on and need to have a spacing of 108 mm or cm, whatever, in order to work with mine.

Thanks Jamey,

I see you have a BRG jag. I love that color!!!

I like the rims, but I've noticed what you've said about the ol' Jag set, and I do kind of like them @ H2O.

Hey, if anyone wants to take a look at my photobucket album, I think there may be something wrong with my steering wheel. It sits off the wheel itself, but I'm not sure if this space is typical or not.

Calling all mechanics...

Default welcome to u!!!

Congrats to my fellow x type owner, i also have a white jag x type 2004, 3.0l, beige interior, i have added an awesome mesh grill and hot looking mags from coventry which adds a definite eye flare, also just ordered chrome mirror covers and chrome trim for side lighting and also got for the interior amazing oem lambswool rugs which adds confort to our feet. Unfortunately did not have a chance to add new pics, but will come in april 2010, cant wait to take it out, since now its sleeping. enjoy ur ride as much as I do, when i take it, i get alot of stares, and thumbs up.
have fun,
from Bebe jag.... now dreaming also of the xkr coupe.... who knows

Question So how do I get started modifying?

mpd.... Hey, where you from in Pittsburgh? haven't seen a white S type around the way.

And I'm thinking of upgrading my Jag. so what is the easiest/cheapest thing to do first? It could use a set of tires, and I may get some new wheels so I have a winter and a summer set.

Or should I get rid of the old system in the middle and fix the setup with a double din dvd player in the middle, with a navi system and other objects of cool... (Leaning away from this, as I don't sleep in my car, so all this to me seems unnecessary. I see it as a driving machine, and a thing of beauty)

Suggestions.....annnnnnnnnd...go...
