My Wife and I are thinking about buying a Jag coupe XK or XK8 and I wanted to join the group.

I am 58 married 35 years we have 3 grown children 2 are married

Kids at home now include 3 Siberian Huskeys ! I run with them or I should say they run ME !

Current cars are a 2001 Audi TT coupe 2006 911 coupe 2005 Land Rover LR3

My last Jag was a 1963 XKE coupe which I unfortunately sold in the late 1970s for $3K !!! A BIG mistake !!

Thank you for allowing me to participate - I am also a member of the Audi and Porsche car clubs - if we purchase a Jag we plan to join the National club

Welcome to the forum,

Good to have you with us.
The Pittsburgh club is pretty active so should be a good choice for you.

You should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Welcome to the forum. Check out both the XK8/XKR [x100] and XK/XKR [x150] sections to help you make your decision. In many ways the XK is better, but the XK8 just looks better. If you want to know more about the XK8, check out this thread:https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ts-data-29800/
By all means ask a bunch of questions and we can help you decide on your new Jag

Hey Russ,

Welcome aboard - best of luck in finding a Jag. Once you do, consider joining the Jaguar Club of Pittsburgh. Lots of events locally and throughout the region, I go to several each year as do a few others on this board.

Look forward to hearing how your search goes!

Jim and Chris

Thank you for the nice welcome !

Wow Chris I didnt realize that this site was International thats neat to hear from you from Scotland. Our Son and Daughter in law have traveled all over Europe and their favorite place was Scotland - they loved Edinburgh ( hope I spelled that right !) we have been to England Holland Germany Italy and plan to visit Scotland. My Wife has her heart et on visiting Paris either this Fall or next Spring - Scotland is #1 on my list for the next trip . By the way for what its worth my Moms maiden name was Russell her Family immagrated from Scotland in 1780 to the American south - sort of like the movie Gone with the Wind - my Scotish ancestors were Cival War Confederates - On Fathers side my Grandfather came to the US from Italy in 1876 - . Who really cares though this is a car forumn and I am hunting for a Jag !! All Best !! Russ
