New member with a question
Hello,
I have owned convertibles (Thunderbirds) for over 30 years. However, since I have always loved and admired the beautiful sleek lines of the Jaguar XKE and its successors, last year I decided to combine my passions and purchased a 2006 XK8 - convertible, of course! It now is my daily driver in Spring, Texas and whenever the weather allows, the top comes down!
Although the mileage is high now at 106K, it still runs like a dream - and everything works! However, all cars have issues now and then, and with the scarcity of some replacement parts for models of this vintage, I am looking forward to sharing information and advice from members of this group. My first question is, does anyone know where I can find a correct hood ornament for a 2006 XK8 in good condition? The one on my car has a crack. I have had no luck finding the right one online so far, because the ornaments I've seen do not match the one on my car (see attached photo). Thanks, Michael.

Welcome to the forum Michael,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
That badge is specific to the Victory Edition sold in the USA and 4.2S - Final Series sold elsewhere in the World. They were in short supply when I had my 4.2S two years ago and I expect even more difficult to find now.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/ to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the USA Southwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/usa-southwest-az-tx-nm-ok-37/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham
