Hello all! I have been reading all of your great posts and information for the last few months. I am not generally a forum joiner but this one really has been helpful and it is way over do for me to join in.

I am the very proud owner of two great Jaguars I bought last October a 2007 XKR convt and a 2004 XJ8 base. I bought them the same day with the intention of just getting my wife a fun used convertible for her birthday. Well she did not want the XKR that we went to see but did want the British Racing Green 2004 XJ8....I said "of course sweetheart,....(wait for it)..do you mind if I get the XKR?"

They are the best cars we have had to date, everybody loves my XKR and asks about it wherever I go. I use it as my daily driver and I have just had a great year doing so. My wife flat loves her XJ8 and I have to ask permission to use it!

Well great to be on board, I will be asking many questions, along with some opinions, of course.

After reading posts for the last few months, you won't need any links from me to the tech forums.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

I just responded to my first topic and included a typo. I was wanting to edit my post and seeing that I did not have permission. So I went to the FAQs and did not quite find the answer. Is it because I have not reached my 10 posts?

Wifes can be suprising, cant they? I had a similar experience with a 66 S-type this spring. I found it, called her and told her and she said OOOh! fun! And now i have a much larger garage to boot! Go Wives!
