New Member from Sand Springs . . .
Hello, everyone. Short-time lurker, first-time poster . . .
I retired a few months ago, and have decided it's time to trade my 20-year-old Miata for the only car I like better (well, except, of course, for the E-Type), an XK8, maybe an XKR. So, naturally, I'm looking at everything I can to learn about the peccadillos and gotchas when buying a ten-year-old Jaguar. The good news seems to be that they're a whole lot more reliable than they were in the sixties. And there doesn't seem to be any bad news. So I can hardly wait.
I'd like to find a 2003 or 2004 convertible with 50K miles or less, dark green with tan top. I've got a bit of patience, and I'm not on fire, so I can hold out for a good one. In the meantime, I'll continue to check daily.
Any thoughts about the wisdom of buying a car from Florida? Corrosion is my concern.
Best regards,
Mike
