New Member Saying Hello
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I have always been interested in vintage Jags, E-Types, XJ6, and XJ12, and XJS. I thought this might be a good place to learn if I eventually decide to take the plunge. I've never owned a British car but there is something very intriguing about them. So far we've owned German, Japanese, and Italian cars but nothing British. I hope to learn a lot here.
Thanks and best regards,
Dino

Thanks for welcoming me guys.
Hi Nori,
I think growing up in the late 1970s and 1980s I'm generally drawn to cars to cars of that period such as the E-Type (although the series 1 is cleaner looking), the XJS, the XJ6 Series III, similarly bodied XJ12L. I think if I were to consider a more recent Jag, it might be something like a late 90s XJR or the XJR that follwed it, as they have plenty of power and more modern build quality and amenities. In general, although some cars of the 70s and 80s carry battering ram style bulky US spec bumpers there is just something about their designs that for me is appealing. This is for other brands too, as I like the 930 Turbo and 3.2 Carrera of the 80s, the Series 1 & 2 Esprits (although grossly underpowered), the BMW 3.0 CSi, and the 6.9 MB of the 70s.
Lots of cars on my dream list, but like many so little time, so little garage space and only so much $ to spend on fun cars. So its all about making the right choices over time.
Best regards,
Dino
