Hello Everyone,
I'm Firat from Istanbul, Turkey. I'm 33, an IT expert and proud father of a Siberian Husky.
I've convinced my dad to buy an X-Type 5 years ago and immediately fell in love with it. Last year I've bought another one for myself after struggling with a '86 500SEC and a Smart Roadster.
First thing I wanted to do was to install a sat/nav system so I've bought a screen from a Facebook group and my story begun.
After miserably failing to fit it, I've discovered this forum and many resourceful users, sharing loads of precious and hard to find info. I've completed all the bits and bobs to retrofit the sat/nav system, except the loom! The seller sent nothing but four connectors with 10cm of wire on each one. Thanks to the schematics I've collected over the internet I've succeeded building a custom loom and it worked like a charm on my first try! Yay!
Then people around me started to ask if I can produce more. After almost three months of work, I finally managed to build custom retrofit looms, including the wiring and the connectors. Five (six including mine) of them are being used on different cars, with no issues at all.
I'm here to give back to the forum. I will be answering questions and guiding people during the retrofitting process, day and night, as long as I breathe. I've also done the casette & CD player aux in mods with Bluetooth receivers. I'll be more than pleased to answer every question within my knowledge. If an user can be tagged in posts here, please tag me and ask whatever you want.
I'm also offering 20% off for my looms. I'll start up a new thread about the looms and the mini sat/nav setup which I've never seen done before.
Happy motoring!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I don't use forums often but this is the first time I'm seeing the mods and the admins welcoming a newcomer. This helps adopting and adapting to the forum very much. I hope I'll be useful to you and many others.
I've had my engine rebuilt -twice, the turbo and the injectors reconditioned, twice as well. I've replaced my own both thermostats, removed the EGR cooler and blanked both ends, replaced the broken headlight adjusters, fitted a hood leaper, upgraded the speakers, retrofitted an original Jag amp... Wow actually it's the first time I'm writing these all together, I now realize I should stop modifying and start enjoying my car![Smile](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'll do the auto-open boot mod, replace the exterior bulbs with LEDs, fit an Apple TV and that will be the end of my to-do list. Hopefully!
I'm writing those to specify what I'm knowledgeable about. I set up a local FB group and I'm helping fixing the members' cars for free whenever I have free time. I'd like to do the same here as well. Knowledge should always be free and open to public!
