Hi everyone, New member here in the South West of England, near Bristol. Just acquired a very low mileage 2015 X351 Portfolio in Ammonite Grey with Ivory. The first thing I always do with a car that's new to me is to have four-wheel alignment done. This one, as with my two previous XF's had wheels going in different directions. I had an immediate increase in mpg just on short trips and expect more on a decent run. I'm led to believe that on purchasing new, it can be decided whether to have the daytime running lights on or off. In my case, they are off and I'd like them on, any ideas out there?
The car is going back to the dealers next week for some dealer-inflicted paint issues to be resolved and I will upload some pictures upon its return.
My previous car list is a long one as I'm ancient, but needless to say, the list includes a great many that I wish I still had now. i.e. ex-works RS1700 Escort rally car, Lotus Cortina, Range Rover(s),(All Money Pits) RS2000, Jaguar XF Sportbrake, Jaguar XF Saloon, 2.3 Vauxhall Firenza & Viva, 3.0 Vauxhall Carlton 24v BMW 330D (Brilliant) BMW 335D (Money Pit) BMW X5 Mercedes ML The list goes on, I'd be rich now if (1) I still had them or (2) I'd never bought them in the first place. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Cheers everyone.
Oops, I've uploaded some random cars but the pics are huge, so if the moderator wants to delete them, feel free

Six years with this one, never missed a beat.

Headlights like dead glow worms !

Like riding a horse down a staircase

Lovely car

Replaced this with the XJ

Welcome to the forums Globalracer,

Since 2011 all new cars sood in the UK are required to have daytime running lights that come on automatically when the engine is started, and which turn off automatically when headlights or sidelights are lit. It's mandatory and not an owner choice so someone has been playing around with diagnostics to turn it off.
