Hello:
I am an owner of a 2003 S type. I enjoy the car but have had a lot of difficulty finding a qualified mechanic in the area (I live in Riverside Ca.). Of the three times I've had to rely upon a garage to do something other than an oil change I've not been able to say that the mechanic was either qualified or ethical. I don't mind paying but when someone charges me 500 bucks for a tune up when the procedure neither fixed the problem or was necessary you don't go back to that garage, yes.
Anyway, I'm not complaining (well maybe a little) as much as providing a reason for joining the forum. This seems like a friendly place to get qualified advice before I go to get something fixed!
Currently I'm trying to figure out why my AC will work for about 6-7 months and then need recharging.
I recently posted a thread on how to recharge the Jag so I'm sure I'll get some advice. However, I still need to find out a likely reason or procedure to diagnose what's goin on.
I am a psychologist and enjoy machining, gardening, and science. I'm about to retire so I'm spending more time in the Jag. Unfortunately it's supposed to be 110 today so I won't be going anywhere until the AC gets fixed.
Thanks for the opportunity to share.

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.
If you haven’t already you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for. To do this go to, User CP, Edit Signature, Add Vehicle Details and such and Save Your Signature.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.
