Hi,
My name is Paul and I own a Black XJ8 2004 which I purchased in 2008, with just 14,000 miles on the clock. Now I have 157,700 miles and the car is starting to get a little cranky but I like it too much to part with it. I have had the usual problems with the air suspension - initially I replaced with Arnott air shocks but they did not last long so I went with coil overs. Various sensors have failed, such as the hood open one, and have been replaced. The coolant level goes a little haywire every now and then and the sunroof is now permanently shut as a little plastic part broke which I have not replaced as yet. The engine appeared to have an oil leak but luckily it was just the lower oil pan gasket. The engine feels lovely and strong and I just like the look of the car!
This forum has been an extremely useful resource and I thank every member for their contributions - saved me a fortune in mechanics! I am not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination but I do like tinkering!!

Welcome to the forum Paul,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the X350 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Mid Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-mid-atlantic-65/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham
