Hi,
i'm new to this forum, but I have owned my Jaguar XK8 Cabriolet for 8 years.
I have fixed both mechanical and electrical things on my Jaguar, but now I have a problem with the driver seat that doesn't work. I have changed the switch, that burned, and removed the seat module. I have not managed to move the seat, in any direction. Tried with external power direct to the motors.
So, now I don't know what to do, it's tricky to remove the seat when you can't reach the rear bolt nuts
A very warm welcome Stefan. If you have replaced a burnt switch then check the fuses for the drivers seat. More worrying is why the switch burned out in the first place so check also that there is nothing restricting the movement of the seat.
I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular problems.
