Hi, I've just bought my second jag, an '88 series 3 V12 in silver birch after 5 years recovering from the loss of my first (a red 1980 xj6 which caught fire in the engine bay 2 months after I bought it!). Fingers crossed my research has paid off this time! Thanks for sharing all the info on the forums here, its been invaluable.

Cheers,
Govers

Welcome to this friendly Forum, Govers.
Graham has already given you the relevant pointers.
I'm not sure V12s are less inflammable than XJ's. A good fire extinguisher in the boot is a worthwhile investment.
Enjoy your car and the Forum.
