Hi! My name is Matt and I drive a 2011 Volvo c30. I'm mainly active on www.c30crew.com

One of my close friends is about to purchase a 1985 XJ6. It looks to be in pretty good condition, but he wants me to go with him to check it out as I am "his friend who is into cars".

What's a common list of stuff to check on these cars? I see that the 4.2L I6 has fuel injection, and I was wondering if that system has proven to hold up over the years. I'm not too familiar with Jags and I know the best place to look is always the corresponding forum.

Anyway, if it goes well, I'm sure I'll become an active user of this community!

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
