..or possibly a Festival of Pain, or both; I expect it will be interesting in either case. I can't say I just bought a boring car.
Hi, new member Kurt here, located in North Texas (Plano). I just came to terms with the seller of a '93 Jaguar XJS 4.0 convertible. I'll probably get a hold of both the car and the title tomorrow.
I have never owned a Jag before, but as a child my uncle had a couple of E-types over the years; both a 60's straight six and an early 70's V12. So I have harbored a desire for this marque most of my life. However, I certainly wasn't looking for an XJS or even a Jag when I hit the search engines this week, wondering what class of cash-car I could find under $5k.
So while this isn't entirely a lark, it's pretty close. I found an XJ-S buyer's guide online containing this sage advice: "finding the right jag is better than finding the right price." FAIL!![Icon Doh](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_doh.gif)
The one thing I knew for sure when starting my car search is that I wasn't selling my current car for peanuts just to replace with it some boring Japanese sedan or another muscle car.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
