Thanks for the welcome messages, and I note the two relatively nearby welcomes! I have a query that you might help me with. When I was searching for wool 'over rugs' for my Daimler, I did come accross old posts referring to them, though some may be on another site, as I can't relocate the exact post. Nobody had found suitable replacements. By pure luck I've recently located a gentleman that made those rugs while working for the original manufacturer. When that company moved overseas, the gentleman bought the remaining stock of the 'over rugs' carpet. He now works for his own set up and can produce the over rugs in two remaining colours. It would likely be of interest to other X300-X308 Daimler/VDP owners as the original backing used eventually perishes. Can I post the company's name without breaching any rules?
