Hello, I am a brand new member to this group. I purchased my first Jaguar a few years ago and have really been enjoying it overall. It's a 2004 XJ8 with now 65K miles on it. This car really LOVES warm weather (as do I), but we are a little short on that for several months in Wisconsin. Each winter, I get error codes about ABS disc failure and a brake default. Amazingly, when the weather clears, the codes go away and the car and I have a beautiful spring/summer. Last week, we had a bitterly cold day and a Gearbox Fault code appeared and the car almost completely lost power. I did not have to restart, but I did put it back in the garage. We now have great weather for this time of year and I took it out again. The Gearbox Fault code still appears, but only with the amber light and it feels like I am pulling something heavy behind it. The power is there, but I am worried. I'm open to any suggestions if anyone cares to help.
Hope everyone is having a great day.

Welcome to the forum and Wisconsin greetings to you. I think you should certainly find some suggestions and answers from the folks in the XJ8 section. My '91 is taking a winter's nap presently, but the weather this week has got me gearing up for that first ride! Best of luck sorting out the transmission issue and see you on the road.
Cheers, Scott
