If you don’t do a British accent while riding around in/fixing ur Jaguar, what are u doing with your life?
hey I’m theflyingpotato (real name I swear), and a couple months back I brought a 1988 xj40 for dirt cheap. Since then I got it running and road legal, been enjoying her for some time even though she’s not perfect by any means. Any information regarding parts, modifications, and lore are all welcome.
i know some enthusiasts hate on this car due to its departure from the classy Jaguar look (specifically with the headlights being squared off instead of round), but I personally find the car hot asf. I plan on taking inspiration from the bosuzoku car culture and adding crazy over fenders, widening the wheels out, ect. Thank you to any and all who read this, and make sure to turn some screws today!
*photo from when I first got it, since then, I have painted the hood silver, but it looks so bad I’d rather not show it until I get a pro to fix my mistake lmao.

Hello,
Congratulations on your "new" Jaguar Xj40!
In answer to this question; I was not aware a British Accent was required when working on/driving my Jag! Silly Me!
However, I did spend the first 3 or 4 (or 5 or 6) years of my ownership putting things right "from stem to stern," so that now I can sit in the driver seat with Confidence (and a distinctly Mercan manner of speech) that I won't need to call AAA for a ride on the Flat Bed.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
