Hello all,
I have been reading this forum as a "spy" for a while, but I also have the urge to ask some questions. This June I have bought a '99 XJR, in black. I was looking for a X350, but decided I just liked the X308 more. It's a third car and it doesn't need to be practical. I live the low ride / low roof. But if it wasn't for the X308, any Jag from that period up to 2008/2009 would do.
The car needs some attention. I want to work on it myself, but I'm not too good with wrenches. The only visible modification I did, was painting the brake (calipers?) red. See picture above!

Welcome to the forums Guido,
The red calipers look good in contrast to the black paint and window trims of the XJR. I had an X308 Sovereign with chrome window trims so I left the calipers silver.
I can see you've already found your way to the X308 forum with your temperature problem so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Europe Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/europe-42/ to find other members in your region.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Enjoy the forums.
