Hello to everybody, I have just registered and am very happy to join this community.

This has probably been posted a million times before but I am on the lookout for another Jag. Its been too long since my XJS died, 2007 in fact, and I would like an x-type. I have been searching for some and have looked at reviews, but nothing can substitute coming on here and getting personal reviews about the car. A friend at work has owned 2 and he loves them and says he has never had probs, but he can only recommend the V6 versions as that is all he has ever owned. In honesty I am after a 2 litre diesel estate, preferably 2007 or 2008 model but not sure what spec as there are quite a few with loads of options, but I would like leather, sat nav, climate and cruise. Not too fussed about colour and not too fussed about mileage so long as there is a full service history.

In everybody's own opinion what is the best spec to look for and best engines, and also has anyone had probs with reliability when serviced correctly? Your help will be appreciated.

Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you

We actually do read that quite a lot in this section, "My Jag was wrecked/died/was sold for a worthy cause/gone for another reason and I'm looking for another one because I can't stand to be Jagless." It's OK, you'll find one to your liking eventually.

I wish you success on your search.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
