New owner of 2000 XKR in Tucson, Arizona USA
New to Jaguar ownership, I bought mine on eBay 3 days ago. It has higher miles, 134k, but appears to be in good condition. I haven't even seen it or driven it yet! It is in Florida, scheduled to be put onto a transport truck and delivered to me in Tucson in about 1 1/2 weeks. I'll take it to one of our local Jaguar techs immediately after I get it. I figure that I'll have them make sure that the engine is running on synthetic, check other fluid levels, and brake condition, etc., perhaps asking him to check and see if it still has the original plastic timing chain tensioners.
I got it for $8600. I figure that is a decent price, even if I need to do a repair of some kind. It sure looks like I'll have fun with this one!
I have previously owned suped-up rotary engine cars and trucks, plus a Chevy Blazer hot rod. I can handle putting up with dialing the car in toward being a reliable daily driver. Wish me luck, hoping that it runs as good as it looks! I hope to be growling around Tucson soon.

Thanks for the welcome
It's definitely hot here! During the summer, the top will be up with the A/C on full. At night the temp drops quickly, though, due to having low humidity and no clouds 29 days a month (I think that I forgot what a cloud looks like). It'll be an early morning and night time convertible this summer. During the winter, it'll be top down time during the day... aw, yeah!

Tomorrow it's HERE!
Aw, yeah... I got a call from the truck driver that delivers my (new to me) 2000 XKR Vert Jag. He will be delivering it to my business on Saturday around noon! I have it insured with full collision coverage and a 90 day temporary tag so that I can check things out with a first drive in the industrial park.
I'm crossing my fingers that it runs as nice as it looks. The dealer told me that it ran great, we'll see! Since I got it for only $8600 I figure that I can excuse some repair bills when the need arises.
VAROOOOM! I don't think that I'll be able to sleep tonight.
