Today I became the proud new owner of a 2003 STR. It is a "slight" upgrade from my 2003 Prius. I have been browsing the forums for a while making sure I knew what I would be getting myself into and finally pulled the trigger.

The transmission was just fully rebuilt and all the electronics work flawless.

When my wife asked why I wanted a Jag over anything else I could have gotten I responded with "well everyone has a BMW or a Benz."

Welcome to the REAL world.

Oh my, Prius to R Jag, not a huge difference, HAHA.

My first wife got into a similar conversation with me about my then MK10 Jag, and it eventually went something like "me or the Jag". I still got the MK10. My current wife (clocking 30 years together now) has MORE passion for Jaguars than me, which is a tad scary.

Let her drive it, SOLO, then ask again, works every time.

I have been told, by those who claim to be experts in this field, someone in these very forums in fact, that the Toyotus Prius is the natural prey of Jaguars.

It would appear in your case at least, to be true. LOL
Welcome from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum JuJuBee,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

From your earlier browsing you probably already know your way to the tech section but if not, follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

I can see you've posted in Lower Atlantic Region forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

I'm glad to be here. This is not my first time on forums so I already know how to not attack someone and search.

Grant- My wife was all for the purchase. So that's one of the ways I know shes a keeper. She even accepted the logic of "it's a 4 door sadan, therefir a family car." Family car was a big seller as she is pregnant with our first child.
