Hey fellas!
I just recently purchased a 2011 Jaguar XKR for my new daily! I absolutely love the car! It's super comfy, performance is great, and the sound is absolutely amazing!
I look forward to being apart of this community and hopefully meeting some of you local guys around the Dallas area.
Couple pics my son took with the toy

Congratulations and welcome. This is a great place to learn about your new car. How do you like it compared to the GTR? Is the GTR your son's? What does he thing of your new car? Nice pictures.

I've had both GT-R and XKR at the same time but found the GTR too race oriented and unrefined; however, the AWD is great for my northern climate. I also found the XKR seemed much quicker for stop and go street use because of the supercharger. The GTR's turbos need time to spool and don't deliver the insane quick available torque the XKR has. The XKR is such a nice complete car to enjoy on the street.

Hello sir! No, the GTR is mine as well. It's my weekend toy! The cars are very different indeed. The GTR is definitely more race oriented, which I enjoy. The XKR is the best GT car I have ever owned. I am blown away by the comfort and the quick response of the supercharger.
I have two sons, 18 and 15. The Jag has absolutely zero back seat, so we either travel in my sons Tundra or the GTR, which has a shocking amount of room in the rear. I have let my son drive the Jag a handful of times now and he always says he "adores" the car, which I can see why
Was your GTR modified? Asking because mine is a FBO E85 car putting around 630 HP to the wheels. It is an absolute monster, the force that car accelerates at is almost unbelievable. We actually did a little roll from 50 on the way home the other day, putting the two cars against each other and, well... It wasn't very fair! But the cars serve two totally different purposes. I enjoy speed and I just went through back surgery a couple weeks ago, so the Jag is the perfect daily for me. If I need anything faster, I have my other baby in the garage

Damn, you're as sick as me! LOL.

My GTR was stock. I never had it very long. If I were a track person I would have kept it and modified it for 91 (no 93 or E85 where I live). My main interest in the GTR was the ingenious mechanics and AWD so I could enjoy a performance car year round. However, I found it so noisy and unrefined I found myself wanting the XKR more. I was going to modify the suspension, interior and engine but figured I would need to put in $30K-$40K to get the car to were I would want it. Out of the box the XKR is almost perfect. I didn't want to put $30K-$40K into modifying a very old design, albeit a legend. I'd rather go out and buy a used McLaren MP4-12C which can be bought for less than $150K. Although a GTR project car would be nice. Yes, I hear a FBO E85 is a real monster. I came very close to trading my XKR in on another GTR last winter because I could not drive the XKR and I don't want more than 4 vehicles in my garage to maintain. I may buy another GTR, but I would like to unload some cars first. The sickness continues...but I'm enjoying it.
