Default New S type owner

Hello
I bought my 2003 S typeV8 last month. It's a great car so far,I know it doesn't have a good reputation but not everybody has a jag.
I have some questions and I hope you can help me. I want to instal a lowering suspension kit www.jaguarxp.com Do you know anything aboutthis brand of springs?( Mina Gallery) do I have to change the shocks? and can you recommend a good brand of shocks please? what do you think about Arden muflers?...
sorry,a lot of questions but I;m excited because it's a really nice car.
thank you

Jaguar XP is a great site to buy from. A couple of people on here have those springs and they like them, but remember that it is a bit sportier and stiffer. As for the arden exhaust, I'll try and find the sound clip that was posted, but it's very expensive. You could probably get a fully custom exhaust the way you want it for a fraction of the price.

Thank you! So if I'm getting the Mina Gallery springs do I have to change the shocks?
What about the sport mode? I didn't feel any difference...maybe at higher rpm... anyway what does change when the sport mode is on? the stiffnes of the shocks? I know it changes the way the car is responding to acceleration,at leats this is what I've understood from the owners manual
I have a dillema regarding the shocks...I don't want to change them but I want different springs..please tell me your opinion guys,I'm a newbie..this is my first nice car. Before I had a rusty Golf 3
thanks again

Those springs can be used with the stock struts, although you might want to get new struts now that you're at it. and yes, the sports mode does nothing to the suspension, only raises the rpm's a bit. The car is more responsive though.

And can you recommend some struts please?besides bilstein
Oh yeah and I entered absolutemotoring.com,the only thing that I've found were H&R springs and a lot of rims. http://www.absolutemotoring.com/inde...talog.viewByIdwich is better Mina Gallery or H&R? to tell you the truth I don't know anything about them..just that Mina Gallery is made in Germany.
Too bad the forum doesn't have a chat section so I wouldn't have to bother the same people.
I'll have to buy some drinks bigdreams05 for all your tips

LOL! well, you won't like this answer. I don't necesarily know which are better, nor which struts to use. I think that the Mina Gallery springs are a bit more for a luxury touch and the H and R are a bit sportier, but don't quote me. As for a chat section, I think that since we are all never on at the same time, it wouldn't be that effective.

Well now that I'm thinking, you're right because the stuff on jaguarxp.com it's for Jags and since this model(S-Type) it's not a sporty one,the Mina Gallery springs will be the best choice for me; I don't want a stiff ride,it's not a Civic
Again,I'm sorry to bother you with my stupidities but it seems you're the only one who's answering
Thanks,bye.

It's been pretty slow lately. I think it's the holiday season that's keeping everyone away. They're not stupidities...at least I hope not. Same type of questions I had when I bought my S-type.
