hello. so i pulled the trigger on an 04 Jaguar XJ8 in SEAFROST! i have not taken possession of the vehicle yet since i purchased it on ebay and am waiting shipment. i would have preferred silver or gray but the price was right so i couldn't pass it up. seafrost is not a masculine color by any stretch but then again it is not a feminine color either. it's like an in between, on the fence, unisex color. it is however growing on me like an algae. any thoughts to ease my color anxiety?

Welcome to the forum eelnad,

Congratulations on the XJ8 and I hope it matches the seller's description.

Never considered the colour of my car in gender terms. I want to drive it, not date it. Then again, I wouldn't be seen dead in a pink one so perhaps it's a subliminal decision with me.

Follow this link XJ ( X350 & X358 ) XJ6 / XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X350 section for help and advice.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Welcome to the forum eelnad,

Good to have you with us.
At least it's not pink! I quite like seafrost, you can think of it as showing your confidence in your persona.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Welcome to this friendly forum. I'm relieved it is the car that's green, not you.
We've got members from all over the World but not yet from Mars!
The cars are (IMHO) definitely female as you'll find out when your new lady starts throwing tantrums so that's a nice calming ladylike colour.
Bet you can't wait for the delivery.

hi again and thanks for the support. i never realized how important color choice is with a jaguar. a few cars back i drove a 96 nissan sentra that was "powder blue". it was an embarassing car to drive and it also performed terrible. two nights ago, i was up half the night freaking out over the color. last night i somewhat slept better because of pure exhaustion. now i am here early Sunday morning writing about my color hang ups. it is an interesting phenomena of how a man's ego can be affected by the color of his automobile and how others may perceive him. i need to dig deep and examine myself and figure out who i am. i need to control my emotions and just appreciate the vehicle for what it is even though automobiles themselves invoke these emotions.

Can't remember ever seeing a Jaguar and not liking the colour. Some more than others but nothing I wouldn't drive.

When it arrives, post a

You'll receive loads of in-depth analysis (forum-speak for light hearted banter at your expense) on the colour to help soothe the emotional turmoil or perhaps tip you over the edge - can never be too sure of these things.

I've been out in my Frost Blue XK8 in daylight today without the protection of tints or sunglasses and it's not a million miles different to Seafrost.

Man-up and get ready to hit the highway.

Default 2007 Jaguar XJ6 2.7D Soverign Seafrost

Just bought this one, Will post more comments and pictures when I get delivery next week! Delay due to need for towbar which appears to pose difficulties as Jaguar have discontinued them and Thule does not recommend fitting to cars with air suspension!

Default Sad Parting

I am very sad to be parting with my much loved 2001 Jaguar XJ8. (Picture Attached) The main reason for selling is the prohibitive road tax in Ireland. For my 3.2 litre Jaguar it has now risen to €1809 per Annum. I have driven it for 10 years, done my own servicing and the only problem during that time has been a non functioning Cruise Control. I estimate that by changing I will save about €1000 per year in reduced tax and better fuel consumption.

I can't wait for the delivery of my new Jag, a 2007 XJ6 2.4D
