Hi everyone! Long time lurker first time member.
I just bought a 77 xjc. it’s been my dream car for the last 20 years when I first saw one whilst out driving my old 74 xj6.
Originally from New Zealand and Australia but I’m going to be collecting my car in 2 weeks and driving around Europe for a year (I’m a software dev so can work from anywhere) I’m keen to meet other Jaguar/Daimler enthusiasts all over Europe let’s grab lunch
I’ll take some good photos when I pick it up![Big Grin](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Welcome to the forums njdeane,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Europe Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/europe-42/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham

Congrats on the dream purchase! I tried to buy an XJC from a country bloke who had it in a barn. I passed it multiple times a year and every time it looked worse and worse. After a couple of years of this, I stopped and knocked on the door. He told me it wasn't for sale because his son was going to inherit it. As a dad, I felt that twinge of 'brave face when my child doesn't share my interests and never will'. So far as I can see, the son never came, and eventually the barn fell down. Shame.
