Hello everyone. Some what of a story as to how I got here, will try not to bore you. So, I have been a car enthusiast my whole life, and have gone through many cycles on the type and vintage of classic and modern cars. Most say I have “issues”. The story goes like this - my wife of 30 years has always wanted a Jaguar since we began dating in high school. I have always admired them, threatened to buy her one, but never pulled the trigger. A couple weeks ago I called the guy who builds engines for classic cars, for a few parts for my 68 chevelle SS convertible. We discuss my needs and in the same breath he states he is selling his 2003 XKR convertible. Needless to say, bought it on the spot. Clean car with 27,000 miles. The wife is really enjoying it, and I have to say it s an awesome car. Looking forward learning as much as I can about them and being part of a great community. Sorry for the length! , but we are super excited about this car. Will get some pictures and more details up soon. Thanks! Steve

Welcome to the forum Steve,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I know you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
