Hi all,

My names Nav, I'm a 25 year old male from Woking, Surrey (UK) and purchased my first Jaguar last night. I part exchanged my '05 Clio for an '03 X-Type (2.1 V6 Petrol SE).

A bit of a jump up from my little Clio I know, but I've had the Clio for the last 4 years and I start a new job on Monday. The new job means I'll be driving 50 (motorway) miles a day so I thought I'd invest in something a little bigger and comfortable.

My wife and I are also expecting our first kid in April so it also made sense to get something a little bigger and safer for when we head back to her parents (which is more often than I'd like!).

I love the car, I know a few people with the X-Type and I've always appreciated how it's different to all of the BMW's, Mercedes and Audi's out there. My wife loves the car too (which always helps) and I pick it up on Thursday, exciting times!

Decided to join the Jaguar forums because a friend of mine told me about them, hopefully I won't have too many problems but this seems like the best place to look if I have any!

You'll notice a change from the Clio, it will be all good though, apart from the petrol!

 

Nice looking X Type!! Welcome to the forum - hope you enjoy your X and stop by and post up often. The X is a nice change of pace, a unique car that you don't see 50 times a day. And it is a very safe vehicle.

Really nice intro thanks for sharing the pics of your ride too.

My 2 sons have Clios, they're 02 plates and 1.2's so I know the kinda step you took......You must be so excited and well chuffed I'm sure!
I hope we can help with any issues you might have, there is a helluva lot of great info here.................
