Default New XF-R owner in Naples, FL

Just a quick hello!

My wife and I just got a new 2011 XF-R in June, and since the moment we laid eyes on it we absolutely fell in love with it.

I'm a big car guy, and I've owned some pretty fun cars including a supercharged Dodge Viper RT-10, a supercharged Lotus Elise, and my current "fun" car, a twin turbo Noble M12. The XF-R is an amazing piece of engineering and I love that our practical family vehicle can also be one of the funnest vehicles I've ever driven.

I'll be attending the Jaguar Performance Academy on September 30th. Looking forward to meeting other Jaguar guys (and gals?) there.

Default Some of my past cars

Here are a few of the cars that I've owned in the past (at least the more fun ones!):

  1. 1989 Countach Replica. I did this up myself over two years. It had a 5.7L small block for get up and go..
  2. 2001 Dodge Viper RT/10. Supercharged to 650hp.
  3. 2007 Lotus Elise. Stage 2 Supercharger that bumped the power to around 300hp at the wheels. Lots of fun in a 2000lb car!
  4. 2004 Noble M12 GTO: Lots of upgrades let it put down 410hp at the wheels. One of the fastest accelerating cars on the planet!
  5. 2011 Jaguar XFR: The current family wagon (and technically my wife's car!)

Love Naples and the west coast of Florida. I'm a native Floridian but now live in Tennessee. Will be vacationing on Sanibel Island next week.

You have/had some beauties! Lucky you!

Thanks for joining the forum!

That is actually Hatley Castle in Victoria, BC. I moved here from there about three years ago. In case some of you think it looks familiar, they shot Professor Xavier's School for the Gifted there in the X-Men films.
