New XJ 308 owner in Berlin
Hello,
just couldn`t resist an offer. It`s a 99 with 120.000km on the clock. As it stood close to the sea for the last two years it has some rust from below. The worst threats have been fixed for the German MOT. At the moment I am dealing with a tank venting problem (lots of air pressure escaping whien opening the fuel cap). Having been warned by this forum I watched the engine temperature closely and think I got the electrical connectors of the thermostat working.
I also own and work on two Buell motorcylcles and a Mercedes 220 cdi station wagon.
I used this forum already quite a bit and probablly wouldn`t have dared to buy the car without it. So, thank you.

Welcome to the forum 13was13,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums and to hear you've found useful information.
I understand the German MOT is a lot stricter than our UK equivalent.
As you've already found your way to the X308 tech forum, there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the Europe Region forum by following this link Europe - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham
