Default New XJS Member Intro

Hi all,
I have had a couple of XJs and XKRs over the years, but now I have a real Jag I thought I'd join the forum
Just bought myself a real nice looking 1990 XJS V12 Convertible. 25+ years old and not a spot of rust on it!!!
I love it, those exuberant proportions are killing me whenever I look at!

Based in sunny Detroit and looking for a good independent Jag mechanic to help with the V12. Any recommendations appreciated.

Best, Norfolk

You'll enjoy our XJS group. Those guys can tell you everything there is to know about these cars, and especially your V12.

Welcome to the forum Norfolk,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Not often I've read that phrase used about an XJS!

I can see you've already found your way to the XJS tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Welcome.

YOU are the best independent mechanic for YOUR car, trust me.

These are NOT complcated cars, they just want you to think like that.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys,
I will try and do as much of the work myself on the car as possible, it's reassuring to hear that they are relatively easy to work on as I love learning by doing on a new car. Time can be so precious, that sometimes I'd rather pay someone else if it's a particularly awkward job.
