Newbee From New York Saying "HI"
Just wanted to drop by & say "HELLO" to everyone & wish everyone Happy Holidays at the same time. My name is Dan aka 1XJ2NV & I live in New York 12590 - Wappingers Falls to be exact.
Happily married to my High School sweetie for 40 years, raised 5 great kids with my youngest now 28. There 7 wonderful grand children who have more energy then an atomic bomb - LOL
I'm the owner of Dream Car Automotive / Restoration in Milton NY & have been a business owner since 1975. For the last 20 years we specialize in
antique, classic & American muscle cars - more recently European restorations. Which brings me here now.
I've always loved Jaguar styling, but never really fond of their engines. So
when a very rust free 1975 XJ6 Coupe came my way - I can't resist the chance to perform a high end restoration using a wicked Chevy SB.
To date I built a 388cu. stoker using a well seasoned 350 4-bolt as the foundation. The transmission of choice is a 700R4 put together with all the
best parts.
I finished the engine / transmission mock-up this week - opting to fabricate my own mounts verse buying one of the many conversion kits on the market today.
Nice meeting everyone & please do have a great day.
