Hi,
I check in as Jag Nut because I've had 7 of them.
#1 was a 1968 XKE that I drove daily, pulled a 2 horse trailer, forded a flood in Kansas with water lapping over the hood, (I think the horse trailer kept me from floating), drove across the Mohave desert at redline every weekend for thousands of accrued miles and never did she ever let me down. At 150,000 miles I stored it, (around 1985), and about 2 years ago I gave it to my daughter and industrious husband. He has restored it to near Concours condition and drives it rain or shine. VIVA Jaguar.
# 2 was a 1978 V12 XJS that I bought after an engine bay fire. Nothing that would burn escaped harm. What a jigsaw puzzle. In restored that V12 engine and it worked like a charm. After detailing the body work it was a wonderful driver. Perhaps the best of my 3 XJS's. It would downshift to second and break loose on rainy Seattle streets.
# 3 was also a beautiful metallic blue 1988 XJS with very low miles on the V12. I drove it a lot. Then it happened!!
# 4 was a beautiful 1992 RED XJS V12 CONVERTIBLE with lo-lo miles. All original, top and all. I found it in Florida while on a trip. Love at first sight. It won a few Concourses. I also drove it around a slalom course and found it drifted very controllably. Probably due to the nearly 50-50 weight distribution. The XKE handled with tshe same precision. My daughter and her husband now drive it rain or shine in Seattle. Still a show winner in their hands.
# 5 was an 1986 white XJ6 that had engine problems. OTW the car was nearly perfect. I repaired the engine and it was a sweetheart to drive.
# 6 was a fine 2003 X-Type. Not quite a real Jaguar, but it was a good ride. Notice the WAS. It died at the rage of a Ford F150, proof that FORDS EAT THEIR OWN!! So it was replaced by:
# 7 A fine 2004 XJ8 Vanden Plas, Cobalt w/white interior. It has 72,000 miles. It was perfect innall respects when I looked it over but, you guessed it, some issues have cropped up and I need some advice.
It has indicated an air suspension problem and the Control Center Display rolls slowly until it is warm, just like a raster TV.
Questions:
*Can the display vertical sync be adjusted. If So, How??
*I have a TORQUE OBDII blue tooth compliant module and the TORQUE APP. Does it provide detailed info on the APP. I have a Harbor Freight CENTREC OBDII reader. It has a cable and a readout. A waste. It isn't fully compatible and doesn't reset the engine light.
Well that's it folks. Can anyone provide any help an the above questions?????
I'm know I am going to enjoy this forum.
Respectfully,
Noel,

Welcome to the forum Noel,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum with number #8 so there's no need for a link to it from me. Follow this link XJ XJ6 / XJ8 / XJR ( X350 & X358 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X350 forum for help, advice and information on number #7. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
