Hi folks, my name is Ranse Leembruggen, retired from commercial life many years ago. Came to the US in 1990, wandered around for a while eventually getting married and settling in VA.
Just purchased 2006 XK8 Limited Edition convertible. My wife thinks I'm having a senior life crisis, but I don't care. Man, is it fun to drive.
Car came with no manuals, so it has been difficult negotiating all the bells and whistles. If any one out there can direct me toward an owners manual, would really appreciate it.

Hello, Ranse,
I don't believe in mid-life crises, and I Certainly don't believe Jaguar ownership has anything to do with age, and Definitely not gender.

Husband wants our "Next" Jaguar to be an XK8, hopefully well before I'm 40. (Well, I'm not through with Nix yet!) Tell your wife I said she's just jealous that she doesn't have one too. LOL

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Hi Ranse, and welcome! Whereabouts in Virginia are you? I live in the Shenandoah Valley, just outside of Waynesboro.

Thanks Steve.
we've been looking at Sommerville as a possible place to retire in the next couple of years. You recommend it?

No Elinor..... it's senior life crisis. I did the mid-life one and bought several horses. Still have them.

Good morning, Ranse!

I did, indeed, receive your reply but I worked two 12 hour shifts over the weekend... just got off a little over an hour ago!

One of my best friends actually moved to this area in the 1970's from Leesburg. I can't really say I've ever been to Sterling or Leesburg, but have passed through on my way to other places.

It's rainy and miserable here this morning; hope things are better in your neck of the woods!

Default XK8

Just received new info regarding my 2006 XK8 convertible.
Apparently it's the Victory Limited Edition, Class: Sports Car-Premium, whatever that means!
I did purchase a owners handbook of the internet that said it would cover this year, make and model for $200 plus, but there's quite a few differences when looking at the bells and whistles on the dash.
Still looking for a compatible handbook..... anybody help?

It's the one to have.

The Victory Edition had almost all available options included as standard. This was restricted to the US (and I think it was around 1018 examples) but the same model was marketed in RoW as Final Series. I had one of 4.2-S Coupes before my current XK.

If you want a complete Vehicle Document Set, have a look at this thread:
