Red face Newbie with '88 V12 VDP (XJ12), breaks 2 days into ownership :)

Hey guys,
I just bought a beautiful black 12 cyl VDP with about 90k miles on the clock (~150k kms actually) and imported from Canada to US. I'm in Dallas TX.

She's a looker, and ran great for all of 2 days.

Then she left me stranded roadside with what appears to be a dead
alternator. Sign of things to come I guess.

Anyway, I'll open another thread on the alternator in the right forum section.

Cheers, and happy wrenching to me.

Welcome to the forum Jtrieschmann,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

We have occasional reports of members importing Jaguars from USA to Canada but I can't recall reading of the reverse import to the USA. Any issues with customs clearance?

Follow this link XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJ12 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Southwest Region forum by following this link USA Southwest - AZ TX NM OK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
